True Adventure Operations Team Update

This summer marks an exciting time for the company as our first expeditions since early 2020 will begin from next month. It also marks a sad, yet exciting change for True Adventure. After 13 years, Operations Director and part of the original leadership team, Mark Brazier, has decided to step down from his role at the end of the expedition season. Mark has played a central part in helping True Adventure gain its valued reputation for quality and safety, for which we are very grateful.

Thank you Mark

Having worked tirelessly during the pandemic to achieve the best possible outcome for both True Adventure and on behalf of the whole industry as Chairman of the Expedition Providers Association, Mark has decided that now is the time to hand over the reins. In his own words;

“The simple fact is that I feel it is the right time for me to move on and I believe, post Covid, the right time for True Adventure.  Those that know me, know I have been extremely passionate about the company and I want to say, I remain so.”

As Managing Director of True Adventure, and also on behalf of all the schools, teachers, leaders and students who have travelled with us, I would like to thank Mark for all that he has done for us and wish him best with the next phase of his journey.

Paul Edmunds who will be joining us as Director of Operations from September

Introducing Paul Edmunds

Whilst we will miss Mark, I am thrilled to announce that Paul Edmunds will be joining True Adventure in September to take over the role of Operations Director. With nearly 30 years as an educator and outdoor instructor Paul brings a wealth of experience to the role.

He has been a Head of Departments in outdoor education centres and schools, as well as senior posts in the travel sector. Paul holds a Masters in Education, is a qualified IML (International Mountain Leader), as well as a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Many of our schools, teachers, leaders and students, will already be familiar with Paul as he has been leading for True Adventure for over 8 years. Paul will be spending the summer getting ready for his new role and is looking forward to introducing himself to more of the fantastic schools, teachers and leaders we work with over the coming months.
