After 15 years based in Midhurst True Adventure is on the move. At the heart of our move is our constant effort to reduce our environmental impact.
We have been reviewing our office needs recently, not just because of the environmental impact, but also, like many other companies, the way we work has changed. It was therefore also an opportunity to consolidate space as people are working from home more often.
For some time we have realised that as our team has grown and changed our office location no longer made sense as less staff called Midhurst home. Therefore staff travel was causing a greater environmental impact than was necessary. We looked at the journeys being made by our team to get to the office, and to our schools, and plotted an area that would reduce the impact of travel.
Once we had the area marked out we then started to look for properties that matched our criteria;
- Well insulated building
- Energy efficient heating system
- Opportunity to add electric car charging points (look out for a future update on this…)
- An office space that people can feel more comfortable and happy in, with a good outdoor space for us to enjoy our break time.
Time for the new
Just over a month ago we found The Forge, in Tongham, Surrey. The building is fantastic and ticks all our boxes. It was renovated a few years ago to a high standard, has Air Source heat pumps, and has 4 electric car charging points already. We’ve got a great bit of land to use for outside space too!
We’ve spent half term getting ourselves moved in and settled into the new office. The team have been working hard to create a great workplace for us all to use, and always with an eye on our environmental impact…
We are looking forward to the next stage of our journey in Tongham.
