Expedition

  • Experience a very different culture

Barter at bustling markets, meet red-cloaked Maasai warriors, experience the hospitality of a local meal and the rhythms of traditional dance. Home to numerous ethnic groups, Tanzania embraces its multicultural heritage and the population is well known for being welcoming to visitors.

  • Explore a new landscape

Take on the challenge of trekking in the Uluguru Mountains and experience stunning views, towering waterfalls and a chance to camp under incredible star-filled skies. Alternatively, head to the Amani Nature Reserve for stunning hikes though rainforest and tea plantations, or take a bush walk with a Maasai guide.

  • Be part of a global community

Teams in Tanzania can work with Better Lives, our charity partner, to assist communities in becoming sustainably self-reliant. Help to grow produce for school breakfasts, install sanitary toilets or work on projects designed to improve education and water supplies.

  • Learn something important

Home of the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and a string of other world-famous wildlife sanctuaries, Tanzania offers unparalleled opportunities to experience Africa’s wealth of natural resources, and learn about the conservation of its endangered species.

What to expect

  • Terrain

Tanzania offers an incredible variety of environments to explore. Dominated by the Serengeti plain, this vast country is also home to high mountains, lush forests, spectacular crater lakes and stunning coral reefs.

  • Weather

Tanzania has a comfortable tropical climate year-round with regional variations. June to September is a great time to travel, when the weather is cool and dry, and animals congregate around dwindling water sources.

  • Culture

Tanzania is a culturally eclectic society, rich in age-old cultures and a wide variety of traditional cuisines, art, music and dance. However, despite having over 120 ethnic groups Tanzanians also have a strong sense of national pride and cohesion.

We’re always happy to talk travel and would love to find out more about your ideas.
