Teachers!

All of our expeditions are completely tailored to your needs – if you’re undecided about where to go, just call us, we love sharing ideas. The world really is your oyster!

Expedition

  • Experience a very different culture

Romania is a land of myth & legend, with the backdrop of rolling green hills, foreboding mountain peaks and ancient village churches. In parts of the ‘old country’ you can expect to see horse drawn carriages taking a leading role in farming, whilst the cities are filled with a vast community of singers, painters and the arty community increasingly calling Bucharest home.

  • Finding Adventure

Romania has mountains and hills suitable for everyone to explore on bike and foot! Trek between mountain huts through the Bucegi Mountains, part of the wild Carpathian Mountain range, and end up in the fairytale village of Bran giving you a taste of the wild. Use peddle power to propel you through the traditional villages surround Brasov, led by an experienced guide.

  • Feeling Wild

Get to grips with animal and wildlife conservation efforts being made in rural Romania, to enhance brown bear numbers in the area and educate on the importance of looking after one of the largest carnivores in Europe. Teams can spend time learning how local schools are pushing forward conservation efforts of the European Brown Bear in this area and tasks will have a strong focus on the educational impact of wildlife rescue programmes such as this.

  • Testing the Waters

Jump on a raft on the Buzau River, one of the best places to have a go at this adrenaline-fueled sport. Springing from the Ciucas Mountains, the clear blue waters of the river winds its way through wooded hills and grassy plains and is good to raft on year-round thanks to the Siriu Dam!

What to expect

  • Terrain

Mountains, rivers and extensive woodland provide many choices for those wanting an off the beaten track European adventure, which can be adapted to suit the needs of any team.

  • Weather

Although the seasons are very distinct in Romania, there are moderate temperatures throughout spring & summer, making them great times to visit. The mountain meadows coming into bloom, and the long sunny days make a perfect environment to explore.

  • Culture

There is no getting away from it, Romania’s history is steeped in folklore, from the songs sung to the modern artistry displayed in the cities like Bucharest. No matter your thoughts on the folklore of this punchy country, no one can deny the outright beauty of the mountains, and the colourful history that has made this thoroughly charming nation.

We’re always happy to talk travel and would love to find out more about your ideas.
