Explore the coastal city of Kota Kinabalu. Interacting with remote indigenous communities offers a unique opportunity to experience the traditional way of life.

  • Explore the ocean

Off the coast of the South China Sea, teams can learn to dive amid stunning coral reefs and gain an Open Water certificate in a 5* PADI Dive Centre. Spend time diving in a marine park, which is awash with stunning sea life for you to spot! Depending on your itinerary, teams may also be able to trek through Borneo’s lush rainforests, experiencing the tropical wildlife as they walk.

  • Be part of a global community

Focusing work on enhancing the environment within rural communities in Sabah will give teams a real sense of achievement. Helping to improve water supply to crops, or expanding the use of community buildings to increase eco-tourism within the area, are just a couple of examples of projects chosen directly by the communities we work with.

  • Learn something important

Borneo offers an unrivalled opportunity to experience an equatorial rainforest ecology and learn about the environmental issues that affect it, including the problems of plastic waste and the impacts of palm oil production. Meet the endangered Orangutan at Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre and spot wildlife on a Kinabatangan River cruise.
